Croeso i Erw Goed

Welcome to Erw Goed

the home of Trees and Bees

We live and work at Erw Goed (pronounced Erroo Goyd) in the Snowdonia National Park, between the majestic mountain Cadair Idris and the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. Read more about us and Erw Goed here.

We have an annex which is available as a holiday let – Yr Hen Stabl (The Old Stable).

We also keep honey bees, produce honey and use the beeswax to make skin creams, soaps, candles and polish. Some of our produce is available from the Apiary Shop.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by native Meirionnydd oak woodlands – temporate rain forest full of wonderful mosses and lichens as well as oaks and other native trees. We have a couple of small fields for pasture, a young orchard and fertile gardens, ideal for starting a permaculture smallholding and forest garden. We have our bees, providing pollination as well as honey and beeswax. We would like to share with you some of our experiences in our apiary, garden and woodland.

Bees at Wimpole

The display hive we started at Wimpole Home Farm in 2010 is still going strong and their blog is being kept up by Heather Polge, the Education Officer at Wimpole Hall. To view the blog go to http://beesatwimpole.treesandbees.me.uk
